Maybe this quote or theory makes you sad because it is truth that closed-minded people are trying hard to destroy.
Oh, that makes me sad too.
But so much sadder to never have had that moment at all. Fear could prevent that moment. Don’t let it happen to you! 🙂
Dawn, your comment reminds me of a scene from, of all things, Men In Black, when Tommy Lee Jones’s character shows Will Smith’s character that he left behind the woman he loved to join MIB:
Will Smith: You know what they say, right? ‘Tis better to have loved and lost . . .’
Tommy Lee Jones: Try it.
Actually this photo gives me hope. (I looked at it when you first posted but forgot to come back and comment.) It’s hard to explain but the idea that even though the love is gone now, it was there once. And there is always the hope that it will be there again.
P.S. Not hope for that couple. But hope for the author.
